When I started out in photography, digital cameras were just being introduced and friends would frequently ask me if I thought the image quality would ever catch up with the quality of film photography. Today, even the phone cameras we carry around in our pockets have surpassed the colour, clarity, and resolution of classic 35mm transparency film.
